Time's up
What should you wear on the day of the exam?
Once test-takers take into account the clinical skills portion, scrubs serve as a viable option. However, there is no mandatory requirement to wear scrubs. On the other hand, you might be asked to wear flat, closed-toe, or non-skid shoes. Ordinarily, most test-takers make sense to wear something comfortable and professional throughout the two components of the exam.
What happens if you perform poorly?
Most states allow test-takers to retake the CNA exam more than three times. However, test-takers will have to retake the exam within 2 years of finishing their training courses. Fortunately, you can take the component that did not score 70% or higher. However, if you fail to cross this threshold on both portions, you will have to retake the entire exam.
What is the allowed time limit for test-takers?
Test-takers will get two hours for the written exam, whereas the clinical skills portion comes with a 35-45 timeframe and generally covers five (5) or more skills.
How much does the CNA exam cost?
The cost-structure of the CNA exam varies from one state to another. Ordinarily, you can expect to pay over $100.
How much can CNAs earn?
While the salary ultimately depends on your setting and state, the annual average salary of a Certified Nursing Assistant is $27,510 in the US.
When can you receive your exam results?
Test-takers cannot receive the results right after completion of the exam. In fact, marketing and authenticating CNA certification is a long process that takes time and effort. This rigorous process’s underlying purpose is to make sure that every certified nurse lives up to the high standards of the CNA exam.
Ordinarily, test strategists implement a statistical analysis on every exam and evaluate the overall results to ensure that the marking is valid and fair. Once the process is finalized in a few weeks, you can receive exam results via email. Your results will have either unsuccessful or pass status.
